Uniting to Change What’s Possible
Introducing FBC’s New Signature Event: Unite for Sight
Vision loss can be isolating. That’s why coming together matters.
When we unite, we bring different perspectives, experiences, and talents together —challenging assumptions, sparking connections, and inspiring new possibilities.
For more than two decades, Fighting Blindness Canada’s (FBC) Comic Vision brought our community together through laughter and a shared commitment, raising more than $10 million and making a lasting impact on the future of vision research.
Now we’re bringing that spirit of community into a new chapter.
On Thursday, Nov. 5, FBC will host Unite for Sight, with Heathbridge Capital Management as Presenting Partner, as our new signature event at Toronto’s historic Eglinton Grand. More than an evening, Unite for Sight is a celebration of creativity, connection, and possibility — and of the people at the heart of our mission.

Building on the legacy of Comic Vision, Unite for Sight takes a new creative approach. This year we’ll celebrate artists who are living with vision loss, including contemporary artist Adam Lancia, painter and writer Robyn Rennie, award-winning textured-painting artist and speaker Shellyann Siddoo, and theatre artist, scholar and author Devon Healey.
Music will be provided by acoustic blues and roots duo, The Blind and the Beautiful, featuring Lucas Haneman and Megan Laurence. And as a nod to Comic Vision, comedian Todd Blenkhorn will also perform.
Guiding guests through the performances and celebrations of Unite for Sight will be our MC Pat Foran of CTV News Toronto.
Be Part of Unite for Sight
If you’re in the Greater Toronto Area join us in person. Come experience an unforgettable evening of art, music, stories and connection at the Eglinton Grand. Tables and tickets are available now at Uniteforsight.ca.
If you’re anywhere else in Canada, you can still be part of the celebration. In early October, FBC will launch a national Silent Auction, featuring luxury getaways, unique experiences, one-of-a-kind treasures, and pieces by several of our featured artists. Bid from wherever you are, funds raised will go towards FBC’s work to advance vision research.
Comic Vision showed us the power of bringing people together. Unite for Sight carries that legacy forward — and there’s a place for you, wherever you are.
Join us in Toronto. Take part from across Canada. Together, we can unite to turn science into sight.
