In Memory of Cathy Haverstock

Cathy Haverstock’s life was marked by kindness, purpose, and a deep commitment to making a difference. Together with her late husband Greg, they understood the importance of planning for the future and leaving a legacy that could create a lasting impact, as she wrote in the Fighting Blindness Canada legacy article written a few years ago.

Her support of Fighting Blindness Canada reflected this vision. Cathy believed in FBC’s mission and trusted that her gift would advance research, bring hope, and improve the lives of future generations living with inherited retinal diseases.

Her gift is not only a reflection of her generosity, but also a promise: that the fight against vision loss will continue, researchers will have the support they need, and countless people living with inherited retinal diseases will benefit from her foresight and trust.

She believed that supporting this cause could make a tangible difference in the lives of people she would never meet, yet whose futures she cared about deeply. In memory of Greg and Cathy, we will remember her impact and honor her legacy.
